MOUNTAIN BIKING: Seneca Creek Trail

← WV ELKWATER FORK SPANGLER WV Single Tracks →

Description

Seneca Creek Trailhead is a good start point for several different rides. If you leave the parking area and ride east you can hit Allegheny Mtn. Trail and ride north on it. Numerous connectors from there back to Seneca Creek Trail. Also see Huckleberry Trail off the top of Spruce Knob. Very scenic ride up the Forest Service Roads to the top of Spruce Knob and then loop around to Seneca Creek Trail. It makes for a gradual climb from Judy Springs or Bear Hunter Trail back to vehicle.

Directions

This trail is located off Forest Service 112 near the base of Spruce Mountain below Spruce Knob. This trail is most often used as a return trail after making a loop on other trail and used to be an old, old railroad grade (looks like some double track and some single track). At 3.5 miles to the termination at Judy Springs pack in camping area it make a good 7 miles for beginners if ridden out and back. You can get 14 to 20 + mile loops using this trail. Many of the other trails in the area are singletrack. Overall Rating is considering loop and the return trip on Seneca Creek Trail.
